About Singhal Sweet – Food & Beverages in Ghaziabad
Kadipur is always busy, especially around the industrial area. We are right by the DAV School market at number 13. My day starts very early, around 5 am, when the milk arrives. You have to get the pans hot before the sun even comes up. The smell of frying stays on your clothes all day. It’s hard work, standing over the heat, but people in this area need their morning snacks before they head to the factories for their shifts. We make the usual stuff—samosas, jalebis, and the basic sweets. It’s not a fancy place with air conditioning or anything like that. Just some wooden benches and the display counter. The school kids come by later in the afternoon, making a lot of noise, which is fine. It makes the place feel alive. Sometimes we run out of things early and people get a bit annoyed, but we only make what we can manage for the day. I’ve seen the market grow over the years. It used to be much quieter than it is now. Now there’s always trucks and bikes moving around outside. We just keep doing what we know. It’s a family thing, mostly. My brother helps out with the accounts and I handle the kitchen part. We don’t really do advertisements or anything. People just know where we are at shop number 13. It is a simple life for us.
