Shree Hanuman Traders

Being right on the G. T. Road means we deal with a lot of noise and traffic all day long. Our trading business is at Purani Munsafi, number 240. It is an old building and the shop has a lot of history to it. We deal in various goods, mostly moving stock in and out for other local businesses. The shelves are usually piled high with whatever we have in that week. It is a bit dusty because of all the trucks passing by outside. My brother and I run the place together. We don't have any computers for the accounts, we just use the old-style ledgers and pens. It gets a bit hectic when a big delivery arrives and we have to clear space on the floor. We know most of the other traders around this part of town. Sometimes we just sit on the front step and watch the world go by when things are slow. We don't spend money on marketing or fancy signs. The sign we have is old but people can still read it. It is a very practical, no-frills kind of life. We handle the lifting and the counting ourselves. During the winter, it gets quite cold in the shop because the doors are always open for the customers. We just keep the tea hot and keep working. It is an honest way to spend the day and provide for the family.
