You can find Shah Auto & Engineering Co. at 235 in the Kasthur Plaza Complex. This is right in the Nehru Ganj area, which is usually a very busy spot for anything related to machinery or vehicles. Our shop is just one of many in the complex, but we’ve been here long enough that people know our face. It’s a typical engineering workspace. There is oil on the floor, parts on the shelves, and the smell of grease in the air. We handle various auto components and do some light engineering work when it’s needed. The space is a bit cramped because we have so many different bits and pieces stored everywhere. We aren't big on decoration. The walls are mostly covered with calendars and old tools. We spend most of our time at the workbench or talking to mechanics who come in looking for specific parts that are hard to find. Nehru Ganj can be a noisy place, and the complex is always full of people moving about. It’s a good environment for us because there’s always someone who needs something fixed. We don’t have a big staff, just a couple of guys who know their way around an engine. We don’t make big promises, we just try to find the right part for the right price. It’s a tough business sometimes, but we enjoy the challenge of figuring out a mechanical problem. We just keep working away.
