Mechanico Engineering

Our shop is at Plot No. 178 in the Anand Industrial Area in Mohan Nagar. This is a real industrial zone, so there is always the sound of hammers and machines going. We handle mechanical engineering work. Most of the time, that means we are fixing parts or making new ones out of metal. The floor is made of hard concrete and it’s seen a lot of use. We have oil on our hands most of the day. It’s not a place for anyone who doesn't like a bit of mess. We have some heavy lathes and milling machines that have been with us for years. They are loud but they do the job right. We don't have a computer for everything, we still use a lot of hand tools and manual measurements. The air in the shop smells like burnt metal and machine oil. We usually have the big shutter open to let some air in. People from other factories nearby often drop by if they have a broken gear or a shaft that needs turning. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing person at Mechanico Engineering. We just have our tools and our experience. We eat our lunch together on a small wooden table in the corner. It’s honest, hard work and we’ve been doing it this way for a long time now. We just focus on getting the machinery back in working order.
