Renewable Energy Industries

Our place is at F-80 in the Rajender Nagar Industrial Area over in Sahibabad. Being in an industrial zone means it is always noisy with trucks and machines nearby. We have a large gate at the front where the deliveries come in. Inside, it’s a mix of an office and a workshop. We have a lot of steel parts and energy components lying around on pallets. Renewable Energy Industries is the name we use for the paperwork, but mainly we are just a group of guys who know how to put these systems together. The air is always a bit dusty because of the factories around us, but you get used to it. We have a small cabin for the accounts and the rest of the space is for the heavy work. Sometimes we stay late when a shipment is delayed or a project needs to get out by morning. There isn’t much in terms of decoration here, just the tools we need and some old chairs in the break area. The electricity can be a bit patchy in Sahibabad sometimes, which is ironic given what we do. We eat lunch together most days at the small dhaba around the corner. It’s hard work, especially in the summer heat, but the industrial area has its own rhythm that we’ve grown to like over the years. We just keep our heads down and focus on the tasks at hand.
