Ram Sweet House

We are located out in Murad Nagar Gram, near the post office in Jalalabad. Ram Sweet House is a quiet little spot compared to the big city shops. Life moves a bit slower here. We open up early, usually while it's still a bit dark out. You can hear the birds and the occasional tractor going by. We spend the morning boiling milk and getting everything ready for the day. It’s a family thing, really. Everyone helps out with something. We don't have a website or any of that stuff. People just walk in because they live down the road. Most of our customers are our neighbors. We talk about the weather or the crops while they wait. The shop has old wooden shelves and a floor that’s seen better days. But it's clean and it smells like sugar and cardamom most of the time. We don't try to be anything we aren't. It’s just a sweet shop in a village. Sometimes we sit outside on the bench when it’s not too busy. We’ve seen the kids in the village grow up and start coming in with their own children. It’s nice to be part of the community like that. We just keep doing what we know how to do. The sun sets behind the trees and we pack everything up for the next day.
