Poonam Sweet House

Poonam Sweet House is located right on G.T Road at Maliwara Chowk. It is a busy spot because the road stays full of cars and people almost all day long. We started this shop a while back and it has just become part of the daily routine for us. In the morning, the first thing is to get the sweets ready and set them out in the glass counters so people can see them. Maliwara Chowk is one of those places where there is always noise, mostly horns honking or people shouting to be heard over the traffic. We sit right in the middle of all that action. The shop isn't very big, but we make use of the space we have. Sometimes when the weather is bad, like during the heavy rains, it gets a bit messy outside on G.T Road, but we keep the inside as clean as we can. We see a lot of travelers passing through who just need something sweet for their trip, and also the locals who live just a few streets away. We don't spend much time worrying about how things look as long as the food is okay and the customers get what they need. It’s just a regular sweet house run by regular people. We have been here at this location for years and we plan to stay right here at the chowk.
