Pal Atta Chakki

We have been running Pal Atta Chakki for a while now here in Charan Singh Colony. It is located right near the bypass road in Vijay Nagar, which stays pretty busy most of the day. Our daily routine starts early in the morning, getting the machines ready for the day's grinding. Most people around Sarvodya Nagar know us because they stop by with their bags of wheat after work. The shop gets a bit dusty from all the flour, but that is just how it goes when you are working with grain all day. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but mostly we just keep the machines humming. There is a lot of noise inside the shop, so we often have to shout a little to hear what customers are saying. We handle 475 Vijay Nagar and the surrounding spots, mostly just locals coming in. It is not a fancy place, just a regular shop where we do our work and talk to the neighbors. The stones need sharpening every now and then to make sure the flour comes out right. You can usually smell the fresh ground wheat from down the street when the wind is blowing the right way. We try to stay organized with the different bags people leave behind, though it gets crowded when it is busy. It is just honest work that keeps us moving from morning until we close up at night.
