If you come down to the industrial area on Bulandshahar Road, you’ll find us at E-69. It’s a big space because paper machinery takes up a lot of room. There is always a smell of grease and metal in the air. We’ve got heavy machines for cutting and forming parts. The floors are concrete and have seen a lot of work over the years. It’s not the kind of place where you’d wear fancy shoes. Most of us are in work clothes that don't mind a bit of dirt. We spend the day looking at blueprints or fixing a gear that’s gone wrong. The noise from the neighboring factories is pretty constant, but you get used to it after a few days. We don't have a fancy lunchroom, just a corner where we sit down for a bit. It’s an honest way to spend the day. Making machines for paper is a slow process sometimes, and it requires a lot of patience. We check the parts, put them together, and make sure everything is solid. The trucks come in and out to drop off raw steel or pick up a finished unit. It gets dusty, and the sun hits the metal roof hard in the afternoon. We just keep the fans going and stay busy. It’s just a regular industrial shop where people work with their hands and try to build things that last. We are just a group of people doing our jobs.
