New Om Dairy

We opened up New Om Dairy a long time ago in the Chaupla Agrasain Bazar area. If you know the Chaupla Mandir, we are right there nearby. Most mornings start very early, way before the sun is actually up, because that is when the milk containers arrive. It’s a busy spot and the street gets quite crowded with people going to the temple or just doing their daily shopping. We have our regulars who come by every single day for their milk or a bit of fresh curd. The shop isn't anything fancy to look at, just some counters and the big cooling units we need to keep everything from spoiling in the heat. My cousin helps me out behind the counter most afternoons. We do our best to keep the floor clean, though it’s a constant battle with all the foot traffic coming in and out. Sometimes the market gets so noisy you can't even hear yourself think, but that’s just how it is around here. We’ve seen kids grow up coming here with their parents, and now they bring their own kids. It’s just a normal neighborhood dairy where we try to get things right and make sure nobody goes home with sour milk. We keep some paneer ready in the fridge too because people always ask for it last minute when they have guests coming over. It's a simple life running a shop in this part of town, but we like it and it keeps us busy.
