Modern Sales Corporation

Modern Sales Corporation is located at 12, New Gate. This area has a lot of history and it stays busy from early morning until the shops close at night. Our place is right in the middle of it all. We have shelves lining every wall, packed with all the items we sell. It can look a bit cluttered to someone walking in for the first time, but we know exactly where every single item is kept. The floor is old stone and has some cracks, but it’s sturdy. We spend a lot of time talking to customers who walk in through the door. Some of them have been coming to us for years. We don't have fancy displays or bright lights. It's just a regular shop where we do business across the counter. Sometimes we have to climb up tall ladders to reach the stock on the top shelves, which is always a bit of a workout. The air smells like metal and old paper. During the festivals, the street outside gets so crowded that it is hard to move, but that is part of being at New Gate. We keep a ledger for the daily sales and a small radio that plays in the background. It is a simple life and a simple business. We just show up, open the shutters, and help people find what they need until it’s time to go home. New Gate has its own charm, even if it’s a bit chaotic with all the carts and shoppers. Our family has been involved in this kind of work for a long time.
