Satish Industries

Being near the Roadways Bus Stand means it is never really quiet around here. Satish Industries is located right on Meerut Road, so we get all the dust and the sound of horns throughout the day. Our gate is usually open by eight in the morning because the workers like to get a head start before the sun gets too hot. We have a fairly large shed where all the heavy lifting happens. It’s not a glamorous place, just a lot of machines and raw materials sitting around. Sometimes the buses blocking the road make it hard for our trucks to get in or out, which is always a bit of a struggle. My father started this place years ago, and we’ve just kept it going the same way. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. People just know where we are because of the landmark. Inside, the office is just a small cabin with a couple of chairs and a ceiling fan that makes a clicking noise. We spend most of our time out on the floor anyway. The tea guy comes around twice a day, and that’s when everyone takes a break. It’s honest work, and we’ve been doing it a long time. The road outside is always being dug up for something or the other, but we just work around it. That is just how life is on Meerut Road.
