Mishrana Foods Marketing operates out of a small space at No-G/66 in S.G.M Nagar. We don't actually cook the food here; we mostly handle the distribution of packaged snacks and drinks to the smaller shops in this part of the city. The space is basically a large garage packed with crates and plastic-wrapped bundles. It’s always a bit chaotic when the supply trucks arrive in the morning. We have to move things quickly so we don't block the narrow street outside. I spend most of my time on the phone or checking lists to see what needs to go where. My brother helps with the heavy lifting and loading the small tempo we use for deliveries. The walls are bare and the floor is plain concrete. We have a small table in the corner where we keep our records and a tin box for cash. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, especially when it rains and we have to cover everything with plastic sheets. We don't have a big sign outside, just the house number on the gate. People who need to find us usually know where we are. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps the local stores stocked with what they need. We work long hours, especially during the wedding season when everyone wants extra snacks. It’s a simple setup that works for us. We just try to keep things moving and stay organized enough to avoid mistakes. The tea shop nearby keeps us going.
