M K R Government Degree College sits right on the edge of the Ghaziabad and Delhi border. It's a very busy part of town, right in the 201001 zip code area. Being a government college means we see a lot of students coming from all sorts of backgrounds every day. The building itself has seen better days, and it probably needs a fresh coat of paint here and there, but it serves its purpose for the local community. We have several classrooms, a library that stays pretty quiet during the exam season, and some office space where we handle all the endless paperwork. There’s always some form to fill out or a record to update. Students come here for their degrees, mostly locals who don't want to travel too far into the main parts of Delhi. It’s a practical place for people. We don't have those big fancy lawns you see in movies, but there’s enough space for students to stand around and talk between their classes. The professors are usually busy grading or preparing for their next lecture in the staff room. Traffic outside on the main road can get pretty bad, especially with the Delhi border so close, so getting here on time is sometimes a challenge for both staff and students. We see a lot of faces come and go over the years. Some students really put in the hours in the library, while others just want to get through the day and head home. It’s just a standard government institution trying to get people through their higher education without much drama.
