Kanha Sweets

Kanha Sweets is over in Ramnagar Colony, right near Radha Kunj at number 38. It’s a neighborhood sweet shop through and through. We open up early to start making the day’s batches. The kitchen is in the back, and the front has the display cases where we put everything out once it's cooled down. Residents from the nearby houses come in for their morning snacks or to pick up boxes for guests. We aren't located on a main highway or anything, so it’s mostly local folks we see every day. The place is functional and plain. We have some trays of barfi, some laddoos, and whatever else is in season. It’s a lot of work, keeping everything fresh and making sure the floor stays clean when people are tracking in dirt. We don’t do any advertising. People just know we are here because they live around the corner. Sometimes we run out of certain things by the afternoon, and we just have to tell people to come back tomorrow. That’s how a small shop operates. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in Ghaziabad. We just want to make sure the sweets we put out are decent and that the neighbors are satisfied. It’s quiet in the afternoons, which gives us time to prep for the evening rush when people come home from work. The routine stays the same, and that's how we like it. Just making sweets and serving the local colony.
