At Jalal Sewing Machine Co, we’ve been working out of our spot at 297/A on the Ghaziabad Dasna Gate Road for a long time. We are right in the Jatwara area, just across from Ambedkar Bhawan. The road outside is usually quite dusty and full of traffic, but inside the shop, it’s all about the machinery. We sell different kinds of sewing machines and we also spend a lot of time repairing them for local tailors and families. It’s a mechanical world of needles, thread tensions, and foot pedals. When a machine comes in for repair, it’s usually covered in lint and old grease, and we have to get it all cleaned up before we can even see what’s wrong. We have parts for many different models tucked away in various wooden drawers. It’s not a modern-looking showroom; it’s more of a working shop where things actually get fixed properly. People know us in this part of Ghaziabad because we’ve been here so long. We see the same faces coming in for oil or new needles every few months. Sometimes we just sit and talk with the customers about how the market is changing. The Ambedkar Bhawan across the street is a good landmark for people trying to find us for the first time. We just keep doing what we do, one machine at a time, every day of the week, and we try to be fair with everyone.
