We’ve been over here at B-25, Site No.1 on Bulandshahar Road for quite a while now. It’s a busy industrial area, so there is always noise and movement around the shop. Jaycee Steels is just what it says on the sign. We handle a lot of metal. Some days it’s quiet, just sorting through stock, but mostly it’s busy with people coming in and out. The roads around here can get pretty crowded with trucks, especially during the mornings. We just get on with the work. The floor is usually covered in some dust, and you can smell the iron in the air. Most of us have been working together for years. We know where everything is, even if it looks messy to someone walking in for the first time. It’s not a fancy office. We have desks that have seen better days and a kettle that takes forever to boil. People stop by to check on orders or just to see what we have in the yard. Sometimes the weather makes it tough, the heat in the summer gets real bad inside the shed, but we manage. We aren’t doing anything revolutionary, just supplying steel and making sure the counts are right before things go out on the trucks. It’s a steady kind of life. We like being part of the local industrial scene here. Nothing more to it than that, really. Just hard work and a lot of heavy lifting. Sometimes the gate squeaks and we keep meaning to oil it, but we never quite get around to it because there's always another truck waiting. It's just that kind of place.
