The constant noise of heavy trucks and the smell of cut metal is just part of the everyday life for us here. We’ve been in this exact spot for many years, and it’s a rough and tumble kind of place to work. There’s always a bit of dust in the air and the clanking sound of heavy loaders moving things around in the yard nearby. Our office is very simple, just a place to sit down, take orders, and handle the daily paperwork. We don’t really dress up for work because there’s no point in getting good clothes dirty with grease or rust. Most of our customers are builders or people from the local construction trade who just need their supplies without any unnecessary fuss or delay. We try to keep our stock moving as fast as we can to keep up with demand. Sometimes the yard gets a bit disorganized when a massive shipment comes in, but we sort it out eventually. It’s not the kind of place you come for a fancy customer experience; you come here to get what you need for your job and get back to work. We work long hours, especially during the peak building season when everyone is in a hurry. It’s hard work, but we like it.
