We are located out at KM 55 in Kavi Nagar. If you drive past, you’ll definitely see the big yellow machines standing in the yard. Hercules Cranes is what we do. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and moving big parts around. The yard is mostly dirt and gravel, so it gets pretty dusty when the wind picks up. We have a small office building on the site, but most of us spend our time outside or in the maintenance sheds. We work on the cranes ourselves, fixing the hydraulics or checking the cables. It’s greasy, heavy work. The sun can be brutal out here, especially in the middle of the day. We have a few older guys who have been operating cranes since before I was born. They can move a heavy load into a tiny space without even thinking about it. It’s impressive to watch. We aren't really set up for visitors, it's more of a working yard. There is always the smell of diesel and old grease in the air. We keep a fridge full of cold water for the crew. Sometimes we have to head out to a construction site to fix something on-site, which can be a long day. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment in the office, just the basics to keep the bills paid and the schedules in order. It is just how things are out here.
