Akona Eng. Pvt. Ltd. is located over in Ghaziabad, specifically in Sector-12, Vasundhra. If you know the area, it’s a busy spot with a lot of different businesses squeezed together. Our place at number 350 isn’t hard to find if you’re familiar with the sector. It’s a practical workspace, nothing too flashy or modern. We spend most of our hours dealing with engineering parts and talking to vendors on the phone. The noise of the street outside is always there, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We don’t have a dedicated PR person to write nice stories about us. It’s just the staff here making sure the orders are processed and the machines are running like they should. Some mornings start with a bit of a scramble because of the Delhi-NCR traffic, but once everyone is in, we settle into the routine. The office has that typical smell of old paper and machine oil. We don’t go in for big mission statements or anything like that. We just do the job that needs doing and go home. Ghaziabad can be a tough place to work with the dust and the heat, but Sector-12 has become a second home to most of us. We have our regular tea stall nearby and we know the other shop owners on the block. It’s just a normal, everyday engineering firm trying to keep things steady and serve the local industrial needs without making a fuss.
