Diamond Engineering Works

Our workshop is Diamond Engineering Works and you can find us on the Delhi Meerut Road, right near the Delhi Public School. If you know Khasra No. 1125, that’s exactly where we sit. It’s a noisy place because we are always cutting metal or welding something together. The sound of the traffic outside mixes with the grinders inside. It’s mostly grease and iron around here. We’ve been at this for years, fixing things that people bring in or making parts from scratch. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear a nice suit. My hands are usually stained with oil by ten in the morning. We get a lot of people stopping by because they saw us from the main road. Being near the school means we have to be careful with the trucks coming in and out during the afternoon when the kids are leaving. We just focus on the job at hand, whether it’s a small repair or a bigger fabrication project. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to fix our own tools before we can finish the customer’s work. That’s just part of being in engineering. We don't have a secretary or anything like that, so usually you’ll just find one of us under a machine or holding a torch.
