Crown Machinery Pvt Ltd runs out of the warehouse at D 5 on Bulandshahar Road Industrial Area. It’s a big, dusty space filled with all sorts of heavy equipment and metal parts. We spend most of our time moving machines around with a forklift or trying to find a specific spare part in the back rows. The industrial area is quite large, and we are right in the thick of it. You can hear the sound of welding and engines from the neighboring units all day long. We aren't here to look pretty; the warehouse is built for utility. There are oil stains on the floor and heavy tools scattered on the workbenches. We deal with industrial machines that do the heavy lifting for other businesses. It’s a lot of grease and hard work. Most of the staff here have been working with machinery their whole lives. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. If a machine is broken, we try to fix it. If someone needs a new one, we show them what we have in stock. The Bulandshahar Road can be a bit of a nightmare with traffic, but it’s a good location for getting trucks in and out. We keep our doors open for most of the daylight hours and just focus on the task at hand. It’s a straightforward way to make a living, even if we go home with dirty hands most days.
