Cement Syndecate

We’ve been running Cement Syndecate from Ambedkar Road for quite some time now. Our spot is at number 38 in the Kalka Garhi area of Nehru Nagar. It’s a dusty business, as you can probably imagine. We deal with cement bags and various construction supplies all day long. It’s not a glamorous job, but buildings in the city need to get built and someone has to supply the materials. The yard is usually full of trucks coming and going, which makes a lot of noise. Sometimes the heavy traffic on Ambedkar Road makes it really hard for the deliveries to get out on time, which is frustrating for everyone involved. We try to keep things organized but with the amount of dust and heavy lifting, it’s always a bit of a mess. The office is just a small, plain room where we keep the books and take orders over the phone. It’s a local operation. We know many of the contractors and builders around here by their first names. My father used to do this kind of work too, so I just stayed in the trade. We don’t have a website or any fancy marketing. People just show up at the gate or call the landline when they need a load of cement. We’ve got a few workers who have been with us for years and they know the routine. We just try to get the orders right and keep the stock moving. It’s honest, hard work. If you’re looking for us, look for the bags.
