Bikanerwala Sweets

Our shop, Bikanerwala Sweets, is over at E 4/8 in Malviya Nagar, near the Saket side. It’s a busy corner of the city. We open up early and the first thing we do is check the stock from the day before. Anything not perfect gets moved aside. We make a lot of different things, from heavy sweets to light snacks. The kitchen is always noisy with the sound of whisks and bubbling oil. It’s a lot of work to keep the shelves looking full. The staff here has been around for a bit, so we all know the routine. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. It’s just cooking and selling. The neighborhood has a lot of people coming and going, so we see a lot of strangers along with our regulars. Sometimes the deliveries are late and we have to scramble to get things ready, but we manage. That’s just part of running a shop. We don’t have a polished corporate look. The paint might be peeling a little in the corner, and the chairs are just basic. But the food is what matters to the people who walk in. We stay focused on the trays and the customers.
