Annapurna Rice Mills

Annapurna Rice Mills is based in the Industrial Area on Sherpura Road. Being in the industrial area means we are surrounded by other factories and workshops. There is always the sound of hammers or engines in the background. Our mill fits right in with the surroundings. It's a plain building made of concrete and corrugated metal. We focus on getting the rice processed and out the door. We don't spend money on fancy paint or decorations because that doesn't help the rice. Inside, it's all about the workflow. We have a few guys who help with the heavy lifting because those bags are no joke. My back hurts sometimes at the end of the day, but that’s part of the job. Sherpura Road can get quite congested with big lorries, so we have to time our shipments carefully. We've been here for a good while now and have seen businesses come and go. We just keep doing what we do. We don't have any grand plans to expand or anything. We just want to keep the machines running and the customers satisfied with what they get from us. It’s a simple life, really. We start early when the air is still cool and finish up when the sun goes down. That’s how it goes here.
