Ak. Engineering

Down in Gali No.2 off Meerut Road, that's where you'll find Ak. Engineering. We’ve been set up in Hindon Vihar for several years. It’s a bit dusty around here because of all the traffic on the main road, but we stay busy inside the workshop. We mostly do repair work and some custom parts when someone brings in a drawing. There’s usually the sound of a lathe or a grinder going in the background. My hands are almost always covered in grease by noon. We aren't a big factory, just a local shop with enough tools to get the jobs done. People from the nearby industries stop by when their machines break down. We don't have a fancy waiting room or anything like that. You just come in, show us what's broken, and we see if we can fix it. Sometimes it takes a day, sometimes a week depending on the parts we can get. We try to be fair with what we charge. My brother and a couple of helpers are usually here helping me out. We grew up around engines and metal, so it felt natural to open a place like this. It gets hot in the summer under the tin roof, but we’re used to it. We just keep working until the sun goes down. It's a simple life, mostly just making sure the machines keep running for our neighbors. We’ve been part of this community for a long time.
