Out on Meerut Road in the Mainapur Industrial Area, you’ll find us at Plot No. 23. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city, but it’s where all the space is. The building is basically a large shed with some office rooms built into the side. Because we deal with air movement, there are always prototypes or old units sitting around the yard. The wind blows quite a bit across the open fields nearby, which seems fitting. Inside the workshop, it’s all about metal sheets and welding. The guys on the floor know their way around the tools better than anything else. We don’t have a lot of fancy furniture in the office upstairs. It’s mostly sturdy wooden desks and filing cabinets that have seen better days. We eat lunch together on a big table, usually talking about the cricket score or the traffic on the way in. It gets dusty because of the industrial setting, so we’re always wiping down the screens and the keyboards. There isn't much of a hierarchy here; if something needs lifting or moving, everyone chips in. We don’t spend time on long emails when we can just walk over and show someone what we mean. It’s a practical place for practical work. When the sun starts to set over the industrial estate, we pack up our bags and head back toward the city.
