Newell Rubbermaid Global Sourcing

We are up on the 7th floor of the Somdatt Tower in Sector-18. It’s a tall building, and sometimes the elevators take forever to get down to the ground floor. Newell Rubbermaid Global Sourcing is the name on the door at K-2. It sounds like a big mouthful, but really we just spend our days on the phone or on the computer trying to find stuff. We deal with suppliers and shipments and all that logistical headache. Being in Sector-18 means there is always somewhere to grab a quick snack, which is good because we stay pretty busy. The office is full of desks and stacks of papers that we keep meaning to file away. From the windows, you can see the traffic crawling along below. It’s a different kind of work than being in a shop, but it has its own stresses. We track things from all over and try to make sure everything lands where it’s supposed to. Sometimes things get stuck in transit and we have to spend hours figure out why. It’s a lot of spreadsheets and emails back and forth. We don't have much of a "vibe" here, just people doing their jobs and waiting for the end of the shift. The air conditioning is usually too cold or not cold enough. But we’ve been in this tower for a while, and it’s where we do our business every single day.
