Salvation Tree School

Salvation Tree School is located over at HS-5 in Greater Noida. It’s a bit different out here because things feel more spread out than they do in the middle of Noida or Delhi. We have quite a bit of space around the building, which is nice when the sun is out in the winter. Most of our days start early, before the sun gets too high. We see the kids coming in from the nearby housing societies, some walking and some in cars. The building itself is sturdy and has been through many seasons. We have to do a lot of cleaning because the dust in Greater Noida can be quite something. The office is usually a bit of a mess with papers and books piled up on the desks. We don't really have a big team of marketers or anything; it’s just us teachers and the support staff who keep the place going. We talk about the weather, the local traffic on the expressway, and what’s for lunch. It’s a very practical sort of place. There are trees planted along the boundary that we try to water regularly, though some of them struggle in the heat. It’s not a perfect place, but it’s our place. Every day is pretty much the same—the bells ring, classes happen, and eventually, everyone goes home. It is just a quiet corner of the city where we do our work without much fuss or noise.
