Cambridge Global School

Our school sits out in Sikandrabad, over in the Greater Noida area. It’s a bit of a drive for some, but the buses handle most of the kids coming in. The mornings usually start with the sound of engines and children shouting to their friends as they climb down. We have a good amount of space here, though we always seem to be filling it up with more stuff. The hallways are decorated with whatever the kids made in class last week, usually some drawings or paper projects that are starting to curl at the edges. It’s not a quiet place, especially when the bell rings for a change of subject. You’ll see teachers carrying stacks of books and trying to get to their next room on time. We deal with the usual things like broken pencils, lost water bottles, and the occasional scraped knee on the playground. In the winter, the fog is thick around here, so we all move a little slower in the mornings. During the afternoons, the sun hits the windows and we have to pull the shades down so the kids can see the boards. It’s a pretty standard routine day in and day out. We just keep the classes moving and make sure everyone is where they should be. It’s a lot of managing schedules and making sure the building is locked up right at night. We just do our work and head home.
