Heera Islamic School

You can find Heera Islamic School out in Noida, specifically at Ns 53 in Pi 2. This area feels a bit more open than the middle of the city. We have a good amount of space here. The building stands out on the street. Inside, it’s mostly the sound of kids reciting things or playing during their breaks. We have those heavy wooden doors that have been here since we opened. The floors are easy to clean, which is good because the dust from the construction nearby sometimes drifts in. We don't have a giant team, just a few of us making sure things run. Every day follows the same pattern. We open up early, check the chalk and the boards, and wait for the buses or parents. Some kids come from quite a distance. We’ve got a small area for them to run around, though it’s mostly used for assembly. The heat in the summer can be tough, but we have fans in every room. It’s a practical place. We don't worry about looking like a magazine photo. We worry about if there’s enough water in the cooler and if the children have their notebooks. Life moves along here in Pi 2. It’s a bit quieter than Greater Noida's main hubs, which we like. The neighbors are mostly quiet people too. We just keep our heads down and do the work of running the school day by day.
