It's just a bunch of people from around Dahegam trying to handle our own produce. The address at Jitendrasinh Zala’s place, 17/1 A, is really just a house where we keep our files and meet up when there’s something important to discuss. You won't find any flashy signs or glass doors here. We are more comfortable out in the sun than sitting behind a computer all day long. Gandhinagar is close by, but our life is here in the village area. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit much for us, but we help each other out. It was about time the local farmers had their own group. We don't have a fancy website or any of that. It is just us, the people who actually know the dirt around here. If you stop by, you’ll see we are just regular folks. The yard is often full of bags or some equipment that needs fixing. We try to keep things simple. No one here likes those long, boring meetings you hear about in the cities. We just get straight to the point. It’s tough work, especially when the rain doesn't come on time or the market fluctuates. We’ve been doing this for a while now, just trying to make sure the stuff we grow gets to where it needs to be. We are just part of the local community and we try to do things the right way without a lot of fuss.
