MLA - Mandvi, Kutch (Shri Tarachandbhai Jagjibhai Chheda)

We are located on the 1st Floor of Swarnim Sankul-2 in the New Sachivalay area of Gandhinagar. This is the office for the MLA of Mandvi, Kutch, Shri Tarachandbhai Jagjibhai Chheda. Unlike a village office, being in the Sachivalay means we are surrounded by government buildings and a lot of busy officials. People travel all the way from Kutch to see us here, which is a long journey, so we try to make sure they get their time. The hallways are long and look the same, so it takes a minute to find the right door. Inside, it’s all about files and meetings. We have a lot of paperwork regarding Mandvi and the Kutch region piled up on the tables. It’s a bit more formal here because it’s the capital, but we still try to keep it friendly for the visitors who aren't used to the city. There are usually several people waiting in the corridor to discuss land or water issues from back home. We spend the day coordinating between different departments and the MLA. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking on the status of various projects. It’s a busy place but it’s where the big decisions for the district get handled. We just try to keep everything organized despite the constant stream of people and files. It's a different world from the quiet of Mandvi, but we work hard to keep the link.
