Da Iict

At 1345/2 Sector-5A in Gandhinagar, things are usually pretty quiet until the first group of people arrives at Da Iict. I’ve been working out of this space for a while now, and I’ve grown accustomed to the sound of computer fans and the clicking of keyboards. It’s a standard setup with rows of desks and monitors. I usually spend the first part of my day checking that all the software is updated and that the keyboards aren't sticking. The room is quite bright because of the fluorescent lights, which can be a bit much after a few hours, so I try to take breaks outside. Sector-5A is a decent area, mostly quiet streets and some trees, which is a nice change from the busier parts of the city. We have a small cupboard where we keep some spare parts like mice and cables, and it’s always a bit disorganized. I usually bring my lunch from home and eat it at my desk while I scroll through some news. The students who come here are usually focused on their tasks, so it stays fairly peaceful inside. Sometimes the power fluctuates, which is always a bit stressful when you’re working on computers, but we have some backups to keep things running. The chairs are just basic plastic ones that aren't the most comfortable for long periods. It is just a regular place where people come to get their work done, and I make sure things stay running.
