Our company is based at Ls 399, Plot 2, in the Maruti Estate in Rakanpur, Kalol. It is an industrial area, so there are always trucks moving and the sound of machinery in the background. We are in the business of agricultural enterprise, but we run things in a very hands-on way. The warehouse space is big and can get quite cold in the winter mornings when we start. We deal with a lot of bulk orders and the logistics of moving goods across the region. It is not a glamorous job. Most of the day is spent checking manifests and making sure the plots are organized. The Maruti Estate is a busy hub, and we are right in the thick of it. We have a small office section where the light flickers sometimes, but it’s where all the main decisions happen. We don’t use any complicated systems, just regular record-keeping and a lot of talking to drivers. Kalol is a good spot for this kind of work because of the transport links, even if the roads get heavily congested. We see a lot of different people coming through every day, from suppliers to wholesalers. It is a lot of heavy lifting and long hours, especially during the peak seasons. We just focus on getting the crates moved and making sure the tallies match up at the end of the shift. It’s a practical business for practical people.
