Ruchi Soya Industries Ltd.Gandhidham

Our office is in a building called Tulja Ashish, which is number B 157. We are right opposite the Gayatri Mandir in Shakti Nagar. If you are in Gandhidham, it is a pretty easy landmark to find because the temple is always busy. Being here in the Kutch region of Gujarat means it gets very dusty and hot, so we are always cleaning the windows and desks. We handle things related to the soya industry, mostly paperwork and coordinating with the plants. It’s not a glamorous job. We sit at our desks, talk to truck drivers and suppliers, and make sure the logs are updated. The office feels more like a house because of the way the building is set up. We know the neighbors and the people who come to the temple across the street. Sometimes it’s hard to find parking when there is a festival at the Mandir, but we’ve learned to deal with it over the years. We aren't a huge team here in this specific office, just a few of us making sure the logistics side of things doesn't fall behind. We have a lot of files and old ledgers stacked up because we like to keep track of everything on paper too. It’s a simple way of working, but it has served us well in Shakti Nagar. We just keep doing our bit every day and try to keep the fans running to stay cool.
