Galaxy Residency

Galaxy Residency is located out in Mundra, in the Kutch region of Gujarat. Lalit Kumar Choudhary is the person you’ll likely talk to if you call the mobile number or stop by. Mundra is a busy port town, so we get a lot of workers and business people coming through. It’s a dusty place sometimes, and the heat can be something else in the summer, but we keep the residency going regardless. The building is our main focus. We spend most of our time making sure the rooms are swept and the linens are clean. It’s not a five-star hotel with a pool and a spa, but it’s a solid place to stay when you’re here for work. We have a lot of regulars who come back every time they have business at the port. We know them by name and they know us. It’s a bit of a simple life here. We wake up, check who’s checking out, and get the rooms ready for the next person. Lalit stays busy handling the bookings and making sure the bills are paid. Sometimes we have guests who stay for weeks at a time, so they become part of the furniture. We don't have any fancy brochures. We just rely on being a reliable spot for people to rest their heads. It’s honest work in a part of the country that never really sleeps.
