Mata Gujri Public School

Mata Gujri Public School is located right here in Ferozepur. It is a regular school that has been part of this community for some time. The building is a bit older, with some patches of paint peeling here and there, but it is solid. We have several classrooms that stay pretty full throughout the day. The noise from the street sometimes drifts into the rooms, but the students are used to it by now. We do not have any big slogans or fancy mission statements on the walls. Instead, you will mostly see the daily timetable and some student projects pinned up. The teachers spend their mornings going through the lessons and their afternoons checking notebooks in the small staff room. It is a very practical environment. We have a courtyard where the kids gather for their break, and it usually gets quite loud with everyone shouting and playing. We try to keep things as orderly as possible, but with so many children, there is always a bit of chaos. The office is usually piled with registers and folders because there is always some paperwork to be done. We do not try to pretend we are anything other than a local school. People bring their kids here because it is close by and they know the staff. It is just a place where learning happens in a very straightforward way, day after day, without any extra fuss.
