Sidhani Farmers Producer Company Limited

Gurpreet Singh is the one in charge over here at house number 215. We are located in Vpo Sidhani, which is near Tohana in the Fatehabad district. It is a farming area through and through. My father Pehal Singh was always out in the fields, and I guess that rubbed off on me. This Sidhani Farmers Producer Company Limited is basically a bunch of us neighbors trying to coordinate things better. We don't have a big corporate headquarters. It is just a room with some sturdy tables and a few chairs for when the other farmers come over to talk. We spend a lot of time drinking tea and looking at the weather reports. Sometimes the rain helps us and sometimes it just makes a mess of the roads. You learn to take it as it comes. We aren't interested in making big speeches or having a fancy website. Most of our business happens over the phone or just by talking over the fence. The office can get a bit cluttered with seed samples and old ledgers, but we know where everything is. It is an honest way to make a living. We try to help each other out when the harvest time gets hectic. It’s a lot of long hours but we are used to it by now. Sidhani is a quiet place and we like it that way.
