Fatehabad Horticulture Kisan Producer Company Limited is located over in Mohammadpur Rohi. We are at Ram Murti Godara’s place, he’s the son of Shalender Singh. This area is known for its farming, but we focus a lot on horticulture here. That means we spend our time with fruits and vegetables instead of just the usual grains. It’s a bit different and takes a lot of attention. Mohammadpur Rohi is a good place for it, though. We aren't a big corporation with people in suits. We are just farmers who have spent years in the dirt. We set this up because we wanted to have a better way to handle our produce. Sometimes the fruit doesn't grow right, or the pests get into the vegetables, and we have to figure it out together. Ram Murti’s house is where we meet to talk about these things. It’s a plain, honest place. We don't have any polished speeches or big promises. We just want to grow good food and make sure we can sell it for a fair price. The work is hard and the days are long, especially when it’s time to pick the crops. Everyone helps out. We’ve all known each other for a long time, so there’s a lot of trust. We are just trying to keep the horticulture tradition going in our village while making things a little easier for the families involved. It’s about the soil and the plants.
