Jham Plastic Industries

Jham Plastic Industries is based in Sanjay Colony, specifically at E 18 in Sector 23. It is a bit of a tight squeeze in this part of the colony. The streets are narrow and there are always scooters and carts moving around. Our workshop is right in the middle of it all. We do plastic work, similar to some others, but we focus on what we can manage in this space. The machines take up most of the room. It is noisy and can get quite stuffy during the humid months. We usually leave the front shutters half-open to let some air in. People from the neighborhood walk by and wave. It feels very local here. We are not some big corporation with hundreds of employees. It is just a small team of us handling the production and the packing. Sometimes we have to move the finished goods out onto the street just to have room to walk inside. Sanjay Colony is a lively place to work. There is always someone selling snacks or tea nearby. We do not do anything fancy for our business image. We just have our name painted on the front. We focus on the work we have for the day and try to get it finished before it gets too dark. It is a simple life and a simple business. We have been at E 18 for a long time and we like the rhythm of this neighborhood. It is a bit chaotic but it is home.
