Vsa Cocos

Vsa Cocos is based over at No : 45/1 in Kalingiam Post, which is in the Erode area. It’s a pretty simple setup we have here. Erode is known for its agriculture and we are right in the middle of that world. Our building is just a functional space where we handle all the coconut stuff that comes through. There’s always a bit of a mess with the husks and the shells, but that’s part of the job. We don’t have a fancy office or anything; it’s mostly just the yard and the processing area. The sun can be quite brutal in Kalingiam, so we spend a lot of time under the shade of the roof when we can. It’s a small team here and we all know what needs to be done without too much talking about it. The address at 45/1 is easy to find if you’re local, but people from out of town sometimes miss the turn. We get the work started early when it’s still cool and the birds are out. It’s a lot of physical labor, loading and unloading, and making sure everything is sorted properly before it goes out. We don’t really do much in the way of talking about ourselves; we just do the work and keep things moving. It’s a basic, honest way to make a living and we are happy enough with how things are going here in Erode. Every day is different, but the coconuts are always there waiting for us to get to work.
