Century Hi-Tech Foods

We are located at 290 Valayakara Street. It’s a narrow street and things can get a bit congested when deliveries arrive. Our shop and processing area are right there together. You can usually smell whatever we’re working on before you even see the sign on the door. It’s a lot of manual work, weighing out portions and sealing bags by hand. We have a few old scales that have been with us since we started this whole thing years ago. The floor is tiled but it gets slippery if we’re not careful, so we’re always mopping something up. There isn't a lot of space for a lot of people, so we’ve learned to move around each other without bumping into things. We don't have a big marketing team or anything; we just sell to the people who know us and the shops nearby. The lighting inside is a bit dim, but we have big windows that stay open most of the time. Most of our day is spent making sure the food is okay and that the machines are cleaned properly after every run. It’s a bit of a repetitive job, but it’s how we’ve always done it. Sometimes the neighbors come by just to see what’s fresh that day or to chat for a minute. We just keep our heads down and do the work, trying to stay ahead of the orders that come in throughout the week. It's a simple, local business that keeps us very busy.
