Chinnadurai Rice Mandi

Chinnadurai Rice Mandi is located at 125, Ayya Samy Koil Street. It’s a busy street, especially in the mornings when the deliveries start coming in. We’ve been operating from this same spot for a long time now. The building is old, and it has a lot of character, mostly from the years of heavy sacks being moved around. We don't have a fancy website or a sales team. If you want to talk to us, you just walk into the shop on Ayya Samy Koil Street. Most of our day is spent weighing rice, talking to customers, and keeping track of the different varieties we have in stock. It gets dusty, and the humidity can be a bit much sometimes, but we are used to it. We know a lot of the families in the area because they've been buying their rice from us for generations. It’s a small operation, really. Just a few of us making sure everything is in order. We don't make big promises; we just show people what we have and let them decide. Sometimes we run out of a certain type of rice and have to wait for the next shipment, but people are usually patient. We like being on this street. It’s got a good feel to it, even with the noise of the traffic. It’s a practical business for practical people, and we plan to keep it that way for as long as we can. Our doors are open early.
