Silpi Architects

Silpi Architects is based over at 26/2409-B, near the Thevara Ferry. Being close to the water is nice, even if we’re mostly stuck inside looking at computer screens. We do a lot of planning for local buildings. Some days are spent entirely on site visits, getting our shoes dusty and checking if the columns are straight. Other days we are just sitting here at the office trying to make sense of some old blueprints. We’ve been in this spot for a while and the locals know where to find us. It’s a simple setup we have. We aren't trying to be the biggest firm around, just the one that gets the job done right. The ferry area is always moving, which gives the place some energy. We see a lot of different people coming through. When someone walks in with an idea, we grab a pencil and start sketching. It’s a slow process sometimes, getting everything to line up with the local codes and regulations. We don't mind the paperwork much, it’s just something that has to happen. Our office is a bit crowded with rolls of paper and old models, but we know where everything is. We just keep our heads down and work on whatever project is currently on the table. It's a living, and we like the feeling of seeing a building finally finished after months of staring at drawings. It makes all the desk work worth it in the end.
