Rose Garden Sea Food Restaurant

If you walk down toward the Santa Cruz Basilica Church in Kochi Fort, you will find us at Rose Garden Sea Food Restaurant. This part of Ernakulam is always full of people looking at the old buildings and the sea. We decided to set up here because the fish is fresh every morning from the boats. It is a simple setup, really. We have some tables outside where you can feel the breeze, though sometimes the humidity makes it a bit sticky. We don't have a massive menu that changes every week. We just stick to what the local fishermen bring in that day. If the catch is good, we have plenty; if the sea is rough, we have less. That is just how it works when you are this close to the water. The kitchen is small and gets quite hot during the dinner rush, but we manage to keep up with the orders. Most of our customers are folks visiting the church or tourists wandering around the fort area. We try to keep the prices fair because we know how expensive things can get in this part of town. It’s a family-run kind of place, so you might see the kids helping out or the older folks sitting in the corner. We aren't trying to be the fanciest place in Kochi, just a reliable spot for a meal that tastes like home. We enjoy meeting all the different people who pass through here.
