Baby Marine Exports

You can find us on the 6th floor of the Compass Commercial Complex. It is located in Chakkaraparambu, right in the Vytilla area. It’s a busy part of the city with a lot of traffic passing by on the main road. Our office is where we handle all the seafood export business. We spend most of our time on the phone or looking at shipping documents. We deal with fish and other marine products. It isn't a clean, quiet job. Even though we are in an office building, we are always thinking about the cold storage and the boats. We have a small team here. Most of us have been in this industry for many years. We know how the prices of fish go up and down and how the weather affects the catch. The elevator in this building is often slow, so we end up waiting a lot. We don't have any big slogans or mission statements on the walls. We just have maps and calendars with shipping dates marked in red ink. We drink a lot of tea and try to stay on top of the orders. Vytilla is a good spot for us because it’s central, even if the noise from the highway never stops. We are just regular people trying to get Kerala’s seafood out to the rest of the world. It’s a lot of practical work and making sure the containers are ready. We keep busy every single day.
