We are located right across from the international terminal at the Cochin Airport. It’s a very busy spot because of all the flights coming and going at all hours of the night. You can always hear the planes taking off if you stand outside for a minute. The lobby isn't anything too crazy, just a place for people to sit down after a long flight while they wait for their room or a taxi. We spend a lot of time checking people in and out and making sure the rooms are tidy. It’s a lot of laundry and cleaning, to be honest. Since we are so close to the airport, we see people from everywhere. Some stay for a night, others just for a few hours. The weather in Cochin is usually pretty warm, so the air conditioning is always running in the building. We have some plants around to make it look a bit more lively. The staff mostly just stays busy with the daily chores of running a hotel and resort. It’s not like those big corporate chains where everything is scripted. We just talk to people normally. If someone needs a towel or wants to know where to get food, we just tell them. It’s a practical place for travelers who need a spot to sleep near the gates. We’ve been here for a while and know the airport area well. It’s a noisy but interesting place to work every day.
