Munnar Heaven

You can find us at Fort Villa on Neiper Street, right in the middle of Fort Kochi. It’s an old part of town with a lot of history, and our building has that same aged feel to it. Munnar Heaven isn't a big hotel or anything like that. We mostly just manage things from here and help people who are visiting the area. The street outside is narrow and can get quite busy with tourists and auto-rickshaws buzzing past. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to folks who walk in off the street asking about trips or places to stay. The air is always salty because the sea is so close by, which is nice but it makes the paint peel off the walls faster than we’d like. We have a couple of old fans that creak a bit, but they keep the place cool enough. Sometimes we sit out on the small porch and just watch the people go by. It’s a relaxed kind of place. We don't wear uniforms or have a formal front desk. Usually, someone is just sitting at the wooden table with a ledger and a mobile phone. We know all the local spots and the best times to avoid the crowds, which is what people usually want to know. It’s just a simple life here in Kochi, keeping things running and making sure everyone finds their way.
