Malabar House Residency Hotel

Our place is over at No.1/268 on Parade Road in Fort Cochin. It’s a nice enough area, right in the middle of the old part of town. The building has been standing for quite a while, and we just do our best to keep it in good shape for the guests. We aren't one of those big hotel chains you see in the city. It’s more of a residency where things are a bit slower. People come here when they want to walk around the fort and see the sights. We have the basic rooms set up with what you need for a night or two. Sometimes the fans make a bit of noise, and the floors creak, but that’s just how these old buildings are. We don't have a big lobby or a lot of staff running around. It’s usually just a couple of us here making sure the keys are ready and the beds are made. We don’t do much in the way of extras. If someone needs a place to sleep that isn't too complicated, they find us on the corner near the parade ground. The air feels different here being so close to the water. We spend most of our time just cleaning and waiting for the next person to check in. It's a simple life running a small hotel in Cochin. We don't put much stock in being fancy. Cochin is a busy place but this corner stays its own way.
